Pool and Fitness area - GREAT! Location - somewhat remote. Beautiful location but not convenient to restaurants and stores. When you are out, have a plan for meals, and stop and shop while on the road. Accommodations – SUPERB!! Absolutely comfortable. Large bedrooms with living room, kitchen and dining area. We have always had the full three bedroom unit. Although there is a pullout couch we have never used it. Attractions – Although not much within ten minutes. Plenty less than hour. We skied Okemo, visited Quechee Gorge (2x), strolled and shopped in Woodstock, bought cheese at Sugar Bush Farms (2x), visited the Montshire Museum of Science, hiked Mt. Ascutney, dined at W...   "We really enjoyed the large unit. Plenty of room to spread out and to have privacty. We rented a 3 bedroom for one adjult and two 17 year olds. Everyone had their own room and bathroom - no waiting for showers or someone to go to bed. Units were clean and well equipped with kithch items. The on..."ly complaint I would say if that the rooms are Very Very hot and dry in the winter - even with the heat turned off. Hot to the point that we kept opening the door to try to cool things off. Will bring a vaporizer in the future to add some moisture. The entire main building is hot , only the bar was reasonably cool. Shower was great, Beads were very comfortable. Actuallly returned the next weekend for a girls weekend and we really had a great time. " More >

  "Stayed the week with my wife and daughter when visiting family in the region. Having grown up in the region and returning to Ascutney Mountain was pretty exciting. I was somewhat surprised how slow the hotel was and also just how few activities were available. I guess I was expecting loads of a..."ctivities and several to choose from. The hotel did offer free movie nights and pop corn, offered some other freebies too. But get this, for a camp fire experience this was a hire out service... as I saw. My young daughter and I wandered around the somewhat abandoned feeling ski slopes and happened upon a camp fire with some other guests, who were there with the time share portion of the property (more on that later), and they welcomed us and we visited. If in management I would have nightly campfires, as this is rural Vermont after all, and there's not too terribly much to do except go out of doors.
