She put us at ease and helped us with menu choices etc. she was just a lovely down to earth girl who appeared to love her job. Since our booking was last minute we couldn't get a beauty treatment as they were fully booked. We did however use the facilities. Unfortunately for us we went during Easter holidays so there were quite a few kids dive bombing into pool so not very relaxing. The cleanliness of the room was generally good but was let down ever so slightly by some make-up smears on the back of the bathroom door, but nothing major at all. The spa facilities were very good and not too busy. We checked in quite late so could only eat at 9.30, this meant the pool was almost empty when we went about 7pm, which was really good. The sofa in the room had some nasty looking stains and the walls needed painting and for some reason there was no visible sockets but we did have a 4 socket extension lead in the room !!! For what we paid it was a fantastic deal and i would go back . I dont really understand the review comments about not being in the castle as its obvious when you book where the rooms will be as the castle rooms cost extra. " More >
