  "After a hectic drive around the Mull of Kintyre & Arran, it was so nice to easily find St Leonards on the way into Largs from Ardrossan. John immediately met us & showed us to our rooms, putting us at ease straightaway. A short walk into the town centre, we found good food & company at The George as..." we were trying to track down names & addresses from WW2 times ! A good sleep & a hearty breakfast ensued and we had a good crack with John & Mary, who were extremely nice & helpful. The only slight criticism was the early morning traffic noise which we heard in the front bedroom, although it wasn't detrimental to our stay.   "Myself and my 12 year old daughter went to the Willowbank Hotel at the weekend there and it was a pleasant suprise. We went on a coach trip and they gave us a double room initially but at reception they said they would change us to a twin as it was much larger and they weren't kidding the room was..." massive much to my daughter's delight. It was spotless and very nice and had a lovely view of the garden. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was nice and dinner was ok, nothing fancy just plain cooking, but then you get what you pay for and our entire trip was a very reasonable price so we were happy. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and it all added up to a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely go back there again without a doubt. " More >
