  "My first trip to Nicaragua and I stayed at this beautiful hill-side resort in SJDS for over a week in late April 2013 as part of visiting group of 70+ pers. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - and for the most speak pretty good English. Everybody went out of their way to help make my stay ..."as relaxing as possible. Yes, some of the 'casas' are indeed far from the entrance and lower pool/bar-area where our group spent most of the time, and getting to and from these locations certainly require healthy legs and good foot-wear when scaling hundreds of steps and walking the dry and dusty dirt roads washed out in many places from the last rainy season. The friendly shuttle-service in 4x4 trucks was usually only minutes away and also offered convenient rides to the beach-front rows of bars/restaurants in town. Anytime we needed surfing lessons, Dexter was their to assist. Mango Rosa is a great place to stay especially if you are knew to the area because they will take care of you. In terms of rooms, we had a spacious little apartment style cabana with our own kitchen and 2 bedrooms. AC was provided in the bedrooms which made sleeping easy. I will definitely be returning.
