When you have spent 15 hours getting from Bangalore to Guwahati instead of taking the scheduled 4 hour direct flight, you appreciate the thoughtfulness of Mr Sarkar's gesture! He also stayed back though late into the evening and introduced me to Mr Hari who was available around the clock to attend to guests' needs. Whether it was tea at 5 a.m. or a light early Assamese dinner or arranging a car they took care of it without fuss. It felt like a well run home plus plus! There is a little bookshelf on each floor (grandly described as a traveller’s library), and the guests are free to take away a book, if they leave another one in its place!
