There is also an indoor swimming pool available to residents. The breakfast provided was excellent and of substantial portions. Tom and his assistants were most helpful and the whole establishment had a home from home feel about it. The premises are on a hill overlooking Whitehaven and there is good enclosed parking at the front. The hotel is furnished with interesting items and a historical fact is that William Wordsworth as a boy lived here for a period when the premises were a residential house. Lovely greeting on arrival including getting to know our nervous dog lol . Room was spotless and very..." comfortable on ground floor.easy access to outside for dog. Had no problems sorting key out for us when we locked ourselves out twice lol.Gave us detailed directions for local amenities e.g shops ,harbour ect. Had no problem with us bringing takeaways in ect. Had a lovely bar area open till 11. Place was very warm and welcoming staff and customers alike. Amazingly well cooked English Breakfast right down to the fried bread (which I dont normally ever eat) not a scrap left.mmmm. Definatly quality foods used without a doubt.
