The price we paid for the cottage was a good price considering the other places we have stayed along here,which we paid top dollar for,were not half as nice as te cottage we had here. The only complaint I do h..."ave is that I found the bedroom lighting to be very dark, and the shower was plogged,( it was the 3rd cabin up from the office) in which the water was almost up to my ankles by the time I finished my shower. It's a nice place to stay, but being familiar with the area I would choose somewhere else if I was looking for a nice view from my room, other than that, I will return again, and recommend this place!   "I've stayed at this resort about three times now and will definitely be going back. The location is set on gorgeous, sandy North Bay beach. You have your choices of bungalows, which are fully equip and you just need to bring your own food. They have bbq's available for a small fee. There is also a m..."otel structure in the front, near the road if you prefer that and there are newer condo-like structures. They have a pool and a restaurant with a pub underneath that usually has nightly entertainment. I prefer the bungalow right down by the cliff (not that high). You will have an amazing view of the Cape Breton Highlands and they have large chairs on the cliff overlooking the beach. The best times to go are July and August. Some might find the water chilly, but if you go late July or early August, it's going to be the warmest time and the jelly fish are usually all gone by then. There isn't much night life in Ingonish, but the resort has a bonfire pit. It's a place to relax and enjoy the inc... " More >

  "We recently stayed at the Seascape Ocean Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our hosts were very pleasant and friendly. We ate breakfast daily (included in the cost) in the small restaurant on site and the food was delicious! Our cottage (#7) had an excellent view from the picture window..."s in front and was just steps away from the ocean. The cottage, though small, was very well appointed and very clean as well. The bed was very comfortable and the bathtub awesome. The small kitchenette was enough to make dinner with the help of the bbq on the porch. There is a pathway leading down to the water but the beach itself is fairly tricky to negotiate with the rocks. I'd suggest if you want beach time, there are 2 nice beaches just a few minutes to the south. North Bay was my favourite. Overall a great stay and I'd recommend this little piece of luxury to anyone travelling in the area. " More >
