  "This is a basic-but-nice hotel in an absolutely fantastic location. Banner Elk is a spectacular little town, way up in the Appalachians. This hotel is on the main road going into Banner Elk, just about a mile outside of town. Our room was smallish but clean, and everything worked (e.g. bathroom f..."an, coffee maker, tv, etc). The staff was great, and the complementary breakfast was actually pretty good. Regarding amenities, there's a picnic area with gas grills ready-to-go, a pool and a fitness center. If you have a pet, this hotel is pet friendly and doesn't charge a penny for your pets visit.
