The room itself is no frills, and we've stayed at nicer places, but none any closer to the ocean than this one. The rates in October are more than reasonable and if you've stayed there before, they give you a 10% discount. They have a small pool, gift shop and a Tiki Bar (with live music). You couldn't ask for any nicer folks than the staff there - very friendly. Would definitely recommend it for a quiet getaway!   "First of all, don't let the previous negative reviews dissuade you from coming here! If you're looking for the cookie-cutter Holiday Inn, then yes, go someplace else. But if you are looking for a relaxing week(end) at the beach, then by all means stay here. We stayed in room 10 (two of us) and ha..."d MORE than enough room. The bathroom was ample enough for two, as well. Yes, the floor was tile, like some reviews have stated, but folks - it's the BEACH. I don't know about you, but I don't want damp, moldy carpet in the room. And yes, you WILL find sand - again, IT'S THE BEACH, sand happens. The room was clean. There was a small bit of rust on the side of the fridge - but who cares? The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. The beach here is amazing - uncrowded and very clean.
