The A/C was working fine, the bath and shower were new, modern, and there was shelf room for dob kits. The closet was..." good size and held our clothes well consider we were gone for a week and were going into NYC after the wedding. The chest of drawer space held our folded clothes with ease. There was a fireplace and a flat screen TV over the fireplace. The room was quiet, comfortable, and a great place to relax between events. Breakfast was good but not extensive.   "A very pretty place and they have obviously worked hard to keep the place alive. Very, very clean, friendly staff and restaurant looks exceptional (we ate at Ching's Table... which was heavenly). Easy walk into town, and nice gardens. The room was well lit, bed was wonderful, there was a large ..."flat screen which I never touched. And the shower had strong pressure and was very, very clean. Some things that were a tad uncomfortable; sound is an issue. I could hear every word of a telephone call made in the next room; as if we were in the SAME room. There seems to have been a lot of electrical patch work... which is the nature of old buildings. They had a sprinkler system, so I'm sure it was safe. Carpets are due for a refresh... just a bit worn in some areas. But it is hard to complain as the price was great. I'm always shocked when people can be so ugly about a stay for so little money. I paid $125 and got an upgrade as we were there mid-week and it was very quiet. But... " More >
