There was a sign posted for almost any question you may have regarding your stay, which was good because the owners were rather difficult to reach and not very talkative. Hence, only 4 stars.   "A lovely stay last weekend with my husband and our little dog, at Quiet Creek Inn. Beautiful woodsy scenery, blue birds abound, and Strawberry Creek runs through the property. The cabins are well equipped, with a very nice fireplace. The two gentlemen that manage the property are very nice, and one ..."of them conducts a yoga class on the property, which we didn't partake in. In a little building nearby the cabins, called "the barn", there are movies VCR and DVD you can borrow, coffee & tea and popcorn you can make, there is a donation jar to leave a dollar if you would like a water from the refrigerator. The city of Idyllwild is quaint, artsy, and very dog-friendly!! Cafe Aroma has wonderful food,and ambience, with a nice art gallery...... We loved our stay in Idyllwild, and would stay at Quiet Creek Inn again in a heartbeat!!! " More >

  "The last few reviews have been quite negative and I don't understand why. It must be that they had expectations of the Ritz. The name of this motel has bunkhouse in it and there are pictures and descriptions on the website so we knew exactly what to expect. It is a lovely little place; so quaint and..." woodsy and very comfortable. Yes the walls are thin, but if you have respectful neighbors it's not a problem. We had both during our stay, but luckily the noisy ones left after the first night and it was quiet after that. Our room was very nice; queen bed, kitchenette, fridge, A/C, WiFi, cable t.v. We sat out on the front porch in the evening and the balcony in the morning. Warning: there are big black bees in the trees behind the motel so you won't be able to stay out on the balcony for long, but, after all, we came here to enjoy nature and the bees are part of that.
