The room (#4) was pretty small, but very clean and well kept. The kitchenette was a nice plus with a decent sized under count..."er frig, toaster, pot to heat water, small microwave and the typical 4 cup coffee pot and place settings for two. I would have liked better lighting. I think I turned on every light in the room. It was very quiet at night. No street traffic and we didn't hear anyone else on either side of us. Parking is a bit of a problem. It is difficult to turn around to leave. If you have a large car or pickup, it is probably easier to park on the street if possible.   "Hidden Gem In Grass Valley"
  "My girlfriend, sister, and I were looking for a place to stay overnight in Grass Valley/Nevada City so we could go shopping and have a nice lunch and dinner. I found the Sierra Mountain Inn on the Internet and was a little hesitant since none of us had heard of it. Boy! Were we delighted. Ginny ..."and her husband are the owners; didn't get to talk to him much but Ginny is this darling woman with a British accent ready to make you as comfortable as can be. They bought the place and it was an absolute dump. They gutted it and redid essentially everything (the pictures are in the lobby). The rooms are attractively decorated, quiet, and super clean (my girlfriend is a clean fanatic). We enjoyed wine and cheese on the 4-person table on their large lawn area. Shopping is nearby. My sister had to return home but my girlfriend and I stayed another night! Only suggestion we had is to place better lighting over the mirror in the bathrooms - makeup mirror was by the mirror but the lighting... " More >
