  "Ala Huangshan is a no-frills, budget-friendly hotel that like a sparrow, though small, is complete; well, almost. Room is clean but basic (not carpeted). Has amenities including hairdryer. At check-in, I was asked if I brought shampoo/soap; I understand they'll supply for a small fee if you hadn't. ..."Bathroom could've been better designed; water from shower stall flows out resulting in a wet toilet every time you shower. It's a few minutes' walk from where you go to take the bus to Huangshan. Near the bus station, you can get food and foot massages. Lots of mini-marts around the hotel but the one at the hotel lobby area was reasonably priced so had no reason to look elsewhere. Had dinner at the restaurant next to the lobby. While food was not out of the world, it was tasty, inexpensive (rmb40 for 2 dishes & drinks) and in adequate portions.   "We went there only for our lunch. The service was good and the food was also very tastey. The people there are very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that its very hard to find someone speaking good english. Though it was a good experience to be there."
