  "i have just returned from 2 nights at this hotel with a friend at the end of an organised tour.The location is lovely -the food is good -both at the buffet and cafe BUT -we arrived on a friday(second day of the weekend).It was chaotic round the pool -no free sunbeds and kids jumping in and playing ..."ball in the pool and generally just loads of people about.We found out afterwards that its possible for non-guests to pay on a daily basis and use all the hotel facilities-so we got the impression that lots of people who are working in Muscat in the week come out here at the weekend,The next day-Sunday was completely different-hardly anyone around and we had the pool to ourselves.So I would advise anyone thinking of staying here to avoid the Omani weekend (currently thursday and friday but soon to change to friday and saturday.On a seperate note-we didnt find the reception staff particularly helpful or efficient.I could only get a grainy picture.on my TV-my friend couldnt get any picture...   "We did a fly-drive through Oman and at the end we stayed two days in the Al Sawadi. The road to the hotel looks doesn't look very attractive (very run-down and poor villages). But arriving at the resort is a pleasant surprise. Overall it looks well maintained and clean. The room we stayed in was spa..."cious. Although the bathroom was renovated (it looked very new) the designer has not thought about a logical outlining. The walk-in shower next to the sink makes you stand on a wet floor continiously when using the sink. And storage shelves for toiletries above the toilet and not next to the sink also makes no sense. As guests enjoy halfboard there was a breakfast and dinner buffet. The food in the evening was fantastic. Fresh, tasty and lots of variety. The breakfast is not as sumptious as dinner. That was a bit of a disappointment. They could do better with breakfast. Just add some extras. Pool was good, the beach itself is not private which doesn't make you wanna relax there. In the wee...
