It's a perfect setting, far enough from the tourist trap of Varkala that you're not bothered by it, but if you need wi-fi, beer or do some shopping it's only a 20 minute walk. There's good swimming by the fishermen pulling in their catch and lovely walks along the cliffs. The food is excellent - especially their curry dishes and really great pots of tea! We will definitely be back here, and this time for longer, because it's so beautiful. I can't say enough nice things! By the way. don't be swayed by the rik-shaws if they tell you that the cottages are dirty and they'll take you somewhere else. They are on commission with the hotel they take you to instead!
