As you are driven up to KR, the first view is not great. But when you go through the gate and see the beautiful garden with blooming plants and trees, the very friendly dogs come up to great you, and Rodrigo comes out to welcome you, you will know that this is a special place. Rodrigo and the staff took care of our every need. He offered to book our Perurail tickets and Machu Picchu passes in advance, and I wish that I had taken him up on that. This is the perfect hotel to relax and enjoy the Urubamba area, and it is much closer to Machu Picchu (your train ride will be 1.5 hrs instead of 3 hrs, after an exhausting day at MP it really makes a difference!). There are a lot of towns and Inca rui..."ns close by, however the hotel itself is a completely separate world. The grounds, church, library, and pool are beautiful and I really congratulate the hotel, because I'm sure it is not easy to keep it up the way they do. The service is out of this world, and everyone is super efficient, nice and willing to help at any time. Kudos to Charles, Hayde and Guadalberto at the breakfast room (he would great me by my name every single morning) for the great service they provided, it was really appreciated and it made a difference in our vacation.
