The breakfast you can get for an extra 3.50 is excellent, with fresh fruit, Muesli, eggs, natural juices, etc. Since there is ..."also a kitchen you can eat all the meals at the hostel which in Quito is quite necessary: the town is VERY unsafe and a lot of people we met got robbed (some even during daytimes)! Furthermore, most of the town's inhabitants show some hostile behavior against foreigners. So we would recommend to every one to only get out for the sightseeing and then return to the hostel!
