Loved the simple, modern decor of the place, the Nespresso machine in the room (we had to endure nasty instant coffee in all our hotels after this one!) and the location is totally fantastic. The ONLY complaint I could possibly have was that there was really no view from our room at all, just some ramshackle rooftops of the buildings across the alley, but this didn't really matter to us one bit.   "I generally look primarily for location and cleanliness in selecting a hotel, and Hotel Zeugma scored high on both of these criteria. It is located near all of the major sights in the old city of Istanbul. We had an easy walk to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace. It was a longer walk ..."to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market, though we could have taken public transportation. And it was quite a long jaunt to the new district, but there was plenty to see along the way. The hotel is on a street with lots of good restaurants and small shops. The room was small, as was the bathroom, but we didn't spend a lot of time there so it was just fine. And it was clean. The breakfast was very good. And the service was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, going beyond our expectations in helping with luggage, booking airport transfers, suggesting sights and excursions, serving us tea or coffee.
