Hotel was close to capacity so it was tricky to get a drink at the bar at night (mostly because they kept running out of clean glasses!). The highlight of the stay was the buffet breakfast which was included in the room rate. I was at a loss the following morning and had some time to kill. Reception were able to extend my check out to midday as a courtesy which was lovely. Freo is not a cheap city and it isnt easy to get a flexible rate here like you can on eastern seaboard, but this place is so central and well appointed that it felt like value for money. " More >

This is a very unique place with much character, and provides us with a different experience compared to modern hotels. We stayed at the Samson room as we have 2 boys with us, and that pretty much kept us away from the other guests. Which is good for parents, so that you do not have to worry constantly if your children are creating too much noise for others looking to rest, Suzy was very accomodating to our needs and genuinely nice. She made us feel very welcomed and was very good with our boys. Her breakfast was a nice warm start to otherwise a cool morning in Fremantle. The free parking in front of the property was a bonus!
