  "I stayed two nights at the Monaco Caloundra from May 18 - 20 and was impressed with my stay in every way. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who advised we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment so we could utilise the larger lounge area and kitchen. I booked a full ocean view room ..."and the name is not deceiving, the view was incredible! My requests for a high floor and spa room were both met despite every apartment being booked out that weekend. The lobby, grounds and our room were all spotless. The staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and is right in the middle of Caloundra and near some excellent restaurants. I will definately be choosing Monaco again when I am next in Caloundra. For $180p/n for a full ocean view 1 bedroom apartment the value for money was excellent.   "We had a relaxing 2 night stay here during May. We were impressed with the room (featuring a very funky spa, and superb kitchen facilities!) and I'm sure this would be a lovely place to stay in summer thanks to the beautiful pools. We had a room on the fifth floor of the 'back' block, so our vie..."w was partially obstructed by the Rumba building in front of us (half- water views, half- aircon unit views...) but we weren't bothered as we'd stayed here on a discounted low-season rate. But if you're paying full-freight, you might want to consider requesting a room in the front building, if the view is important to you. Service was cheerful and friendly, but not overly professional - eg. at checking in, we had to wait for the girl to place her coffee order before attending to us. Not a huge bother to us, but may not be quite the experience you are expecting (again, epsecially if you are paying their high-season rates...). However all in all a very nice place to stay. " More >

  "we went to caloundra for the firs time in early may for the weekend and stayed at the shearwater. the position right next to the beach and kids water fountain, park across the road and a few restaurants was fantastic. although its a bit far into the actual main part of caloundra. the facilities w..."ere good in terms of the rooms were pretty good ( we had a 2 bed apartment) and pool and little games room. there was also all the utensils and plates we needed in the apartment. only thing missing was a bbq either down by the pool or on the balcony of the apartment.
