  "Honeymoon trip at the Riu Palace Costa Rica was fun and relaxing. My husband and I spent a week at this resort may 11-17. Check in was quick and you are handed a refreshing drink as soon as you walk in to help cool you from the heat and humidity that hits when you land at the airport .We reserved a..." courtyard view room which turned out to give us a full pool/garden/ocean view which was great upon awakening in the a.m. because the first thing you see and hear is the ocean sight and sounds. The room was spacious and clean. A/C worked great. Yes the tub is awkwardly in the room but i can hardly consider that a problem if you are a couple on honeymoon like us. the vanity area is roomy/double sink... Dont forget to place one of your keys on the key slot on the wall right as you come in or the electricity and a/c will not turn on. Staff are friendly.   "We just got back from 8 days at the Riu Guanacaste and I have got to say it was one of our best trips in nine years. We have been to many so we had a lot to compare too. I spent several months reading tripadvisor and left with some doubts in my mind that we picked the right resort. Well we DID! ..."First I want to start by the reviews suggesting you take the Palace. We walked over one day and checked it out. I would of been so unhappy and disappointed with this resort and would of spent all of my time at the Guanacaste resort. Food, delicious. Staff, wonderful. Pool, fantastic. Entertainment, good. Cleanliness, superior. Monkey Bar, a great experience. Drinks, yummy! Suggestions: bring water shoes, bring a plastic cup with lid and straw, do a Sunset Catamaran Cruise, do a couples massage (Tent #6) on the beach.
