  "We had a lovely room on the back of the hotel (with very entertaining cats on the roof opposite!) The room was nicely decorated and beautifully clean with balconies off both the bedroom and the bathroom. Two slight downsides (and I am being very picky here) - our bathroom was a wet room but di..."dn't seem to drain properly so the floor of most of the room was permanently wet - don't go in in socks or slippers! - and secondly, the pool was out of use twice during our short stay - once for a function and once for maintenance. Perhaps we were unlucky but we missed using it. Overall though, a highly recommended hotel. It's ideally placed for the bars and restaurants of St Julian's and for visiting the rest of the island. The premises is impressive, built around a very nice garden with outdoor steps leading to most of the points of interest such as the pools, gym, bar, etc. The nice garden is in sharp..." contrast to the street outside which is pretty active and noisy. The interior is also adequate, though not brilliant. Wireless internet in the room is free, which I came to appreciate after a different experience I had with other 5-star hotels. The outdoor pool looked ok, but boring, so we opted for the private beach which is very nice and only a short walk away. The gym is huge and top of the line as it serves the entire area, and free for hotel guests. The first room we got faced some sort of internal space and suffered from annoying machinery noise during the day, enough to keep you from getting some needed sleep after a very early morning flight.
