  "We stayed here for just one night. This hotel is located right in front of the Central train station and in the center of the city. In spite of facing the Central train station, it is very quite inside the rooms, so there is no need to ask for a room facing the back yard. Besides, you get a gorge..."ous view of the lake and the Alps on the Swiss side of the lake. Rooms are small, but provide enough space. As seems to be common in Germany in such hotels, you don't get a queen or king size bed. They rather just put two twin beds next to each other, so it may be a bit uncomfortable, if you prefer to sleep holding your significant other, since you may end up being exactly on the edge (not that the mattresses will split and you will fall down, of course). The rooms and the bathrooms are clean, but limited space for your toiletries.   "I enjoyed Riva hotel a lot. We only stayed there for one night so did not try all hotel offers. I really liked the design of the rooms and hotel in general. The staff was attentive and welcoming. We had a terrace in the room but only a partial view on the Lake Constance. The restaurant at the hotel ..."has 2 Michelin stars but we didn’t try it because it was fully booked (they did offer a table at 18.30, but it was too early for us). There’s parking outside and inside which are both fine. The hotel is not directly in the centre but you can reach the old part by walking along the embankment (with no cars). We expected more from breakfast though, it was very average - if it wasn't included I wouldn't pay for it :) " More >
