  "My husband and I ate here on a moderately busy Sunday night. Although we hadn't booked, the two members off staff that were on were extremely polite and friendly and accommodated us without an issue. The food was superb. After perusing the menu, My husband had the sirloin steak cooked to perfection ..."and I had the haddock and chips, which was incredible! Be warned though, the portions are BIG!! They also had a great selection of wines by the glass as well as beer's. the Brit ale is a must for any beer drinker. The two waiting on staff (Beth and Marc, I heard them calling each other) were always helpful and happy to help and seemed to really get on and were always laughing along with each other - so great to see staff actually enjoying each others company.   "I stayed here with two visitors from abroad and we all found it to be a pleasant experience. The bedrooms are very well appointed and clean. Sea view rooms are especially pleasant. The building is old and with character but has been renovated where appropriate. Staff were pleasant and helpful. ..."Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. I note there are a few comments on carparking but Aberdovey is a small village: with just a little forethought this is not a problem. There are plenty of spaces very close if the carpark opposite the hotel is full. The terrace area to the rear and side of the hotel is a wonderful facility, affording excellent views over the estuary. I will stay there again. " More >
