Personally it was all what mattered after whole day out - good sleep in a clean bed and tasty breakfast. You don`t really come to Iceland to watch TV and stay in a room. I would stay there again. Price-wise it all depends when you make a booking and what season you choose, I have booked all 4 guesthouses in Iceland about 6months earlier so it was a bit cheaper but I had to take currency rate into consideration when arrived, it`s something you cannot predict.   "We stayed two nights in Hofn (small town, but huge by Icelandic standards) and this hotel couldn't have been better. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms and bathroom clean, smart, and secure. Sindri, the host, could not have been more helpful - he asked us what we were interested in doing and adv..."ised us on where to go, how to get there, what time was best, etc. We were a bit disappointed there was no hot tub as our other hotels elsewhere had had, but as soon as we got there we realised it would be a weird location - Hofn is a working port, not a mountain retreat. But, Sindri did not disappoint - he pointed us in the direction of some excellent geothermal hot tubs in the shadow of the glacier, just a ten minute drive away. It was an amazing experience to go there! Ideally located for the town's two best (read: only) restaurants - both are opposite! Great location to explore the south from as well.
