My top tip for the TV would be to pack the PS3 to keep the kids entertained if needs be, becuase at the end of the day this resort is all about the kids and family. Despite going in September when they are all back at school, there was still lots about, but they were very young. For children, I would imagine this was great, activities to make it throughly exciting. The thing I noticed about the hotel and room however was that, although this is an All Inclusive resort, there is still a lot of things in the room and the hotel that give the impression of a self catering holiday.   "Holiday Village Algarve is actually the Alto da Colina hotel. The reception staff were excellent. Very efficient on arrival. The sea view rooms were large and clean with modern furniture. All the pools were very cold though, even with the temperature mid-high twenties they never really warmed up a..."nd most people found them to be too cold. The small beach hut served drinks and snacks throughout the day. The selection and variety of food in the buffet restaurant was very good and changed on a daily basis. We were there a week and it was a different menu each day. If you go an excersion and will miss a mealtime, tell the person at the entrance to the restaurant and they will give you a bag to sort out a picnic with you. We also are at the Portugeause restaurant which was a nice change. The two speciality restaurants can only be booked 3days in advance at Ricardo's bar in Colina 2.
