  "Recently went to Madrid on my own and wanted a hotel that was close to everything but not too pricey. This hotel is really good - less than a block from Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Puerta del Sol where you can get the metro to anywhere. Madrid is fairly small so you can walk anywhere and this hote..."l is in a great location for this. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the night staff! There is someone there 24 hours a day which was great! The breakfast was decent, although it would have been nice to have more variety. The room was a decent size, quiet, clean. I had planned on staying 3 nights only and for my last night go and wait for my very early flight the next morning but the hotel staff offered me a really good discount and a great room on the top floor for that final night.   "This was a good choice on all counts, for 3 nights, without problems. Terrific fresh ground coffee in lobby at all times, cookies, fruit, teas. Everything you could want within a short walk, namely Prada Museum at 6pm daily for free admission till 8pm, similar for the Thyssen, the Sophia Reina, and..." the Caixa Forum is free at all times (see the films). But the nightlife for eating in the area is delightful, safe. Be sensible. The best part of the stay was going to Retiro Park every morning to run, and discover the rapture like Alice in Wonderland.   "This is quite a nice airport hotel. The service was excellent and the building is nice. They have a beautiful atrium with plenty of restaurant tables in the middle and a sports bar & restaurant on the side (yes that's 3 total restaurants). They not only offer free (and punctual) shuttle to the airpo..."rt but are located maybe 15 min walking from the Madrid Metro (though the walk isn't the prettiest and the ride is quite long). They also have a nice sauna (with a window to outside), Turkish bath, and gym. The rooms are nice with granite floors and sides for the bathrooms. Only drawback is that breakfast, if not included, is quite high priced (this is not atypical for Hilton) and wifi is included only for an 8 hour pass. The price is good if you don't pay more than 120 euros, more than that is probably not worth it for an airport hotel. Overall, I recommend this place if you are planning on staying near the airport.
