  "This is located about 2 miles out of Burgos and one had to get an infrequent bus to the Center. Having said that the first thing that impressed us was the helpfulness of the staff. The Cuename also serves as a cafe and local people are using it all the time. We were told how to find the hotel's ..."parking bays in the underground car park and the female employee (who was also serving in the cafe) came down to the car park to make sure we were parked OK. Breakfast was €3 and consisted of a boccadillo and a coffee/tea. Additional of the same could be purchased for a small cost. We went into Burgos by the bus which is fine but they only seemed to run every 1hr 20 mins. The Cuename also has a restaurant but this was closed on a Monday. Instead we were pointed to another restaurant 8 minutes walk away in a hotel but we thought this was pricy. " More >

The old stone house is set in a magical land of greenery, complete with a river, and animals of all sorts, including a peacock that is gor..."geous. The inside of the home is decorated with antiques and has many nooks and crannies for hanging out and/or relaxing. They served a dinner of maybe seven courses, all delicious. And of course, unlimited amounts of wine. The owners and staff were delightful. I would highly recommend this oasis whether or not you are walking the Camino. " More >
