  "I cannot express just how fantastic Baudon de Mauny is as an experience. Atmospheric, sophisticated, and just an absolute pleasure. Alain the owner is a marvellous, relaxed, considerate and wonderfully cultured host, the staff all lovely and friendly, and the design - an excellent balance between 18..."th century and contemporary, achieved by Alain's obviously very talented wife - just works superbly. Altogether a fabulously relaxed and wonderfully romantic weekend. It's pricey but if you actually have the cash splash out on one of the best rooms. For various reasons our room was upgraded and we ended up in the ballroom sized white room, with two pairs of French windows, space to dance and breathe. The giant centipede of a street cleaner (well that's what we imagined) that cuts a swathe through the street below at 6am is a bit noisy but hey, who wants to sleep in a room like that? Recommended to all romantic lovers, but make sure you get one of the suites. It's worth it! " More >

  "Charming hotel, lovely staff"
  "We stayed in Hotel du Parc in April and found it delightful. We stayed for one night and returned later in the week for three nights. Each of our rooms was different but charming, clean, and had everything we needed. The bathroom in the first room was tiny but our room on the ground floor (Room 2 I ..."think) had a modern spacious bathroom. Staff provided corkscrews, cutlery, whatever we needed. We were given good directions for anywhere we wanted to go, including recommendations on where to eat and how to get to the riverside trail to run. We eat a light breakfast and chose not to eat at the hotel. There is a lovely cafe quite close to the hotel where we fetched coffee and pastries, and which also sold light lunch fare to take out. It's easy to get to major tourist destinations from here either by walking or by the excellent transit system. Reasonably priced and good value - I'd recommend this hotel. " More >

  "This hotel is in a great location, in the heart of the historic part of the city but just off the main drag so its quieter. This section of the city is pedestrian only, we didn't come with a car but that would probably be a challenge at any hotel in this section. The rooms were clean but a littl..."e small, to be expected in France. And the staff was incredibly helpful. I would recommend this for someone coming to this city, it was a good deal but we would have been willing to pay more once we saw it. Not to mention it is next to one of the best bakeries in montpellier! " More >
