Given the late hour we postponed our tour until the following morning and he left, to allow us to get our young daughter to bed. Given that start, the slightest issue would have been the last straw. Our apartment, "Glendoe", Old School 10, was fantastic. Big arched windows in the master bedroom and living areas allowed unspoiled views over the canal and local area, and the apartment itself had everything you could wish for, plus wine, coffee, tea, sugar and fresh milk in the fridge.   "We stayed for 3 nights in early May 2013 (too early in the year for midges to be a problem). This is simply a brilliant hostel. The relief warden Katrina was fantastic – she made us very welcome and kept the coal/wood stove going the whole time we were there (even getting up at 6:30am to get it goin..."g!). This is an ‘Eco’ hostel meaning lots of hot water (so long as the stove is burning) but no showers or fridge. Loads of pots & pans and cooking facilities are good. Bring a sleeping bag. The location is just inspiring. Went to the Corrour Station House restaurant for one evening (15 minute walk back to the railway station at Corrour) – excellent food, all locally sourced and thoroughly recommended.
