  "I attended a Wedding Anniversary Meal for 80 guests at Stanbrook Abbey last weekend, and was totally overwhelmed by this wonderful venue. There was a member of staff who warmly welcomed me at the door, the Piano Lounge was so cosy (I believe they serve Afternoon Tea in there which I will DEFINITELY ..."be back for) My meal was really very good, service was attentive and the surroundings fabulous! Even though the toilets are a bit of a walk away from the room, walking down those gorgeous cloisters with the candles at night is a bit of a treat - and the ladies toilets....I've never seen anything like it in my life! Absolutely amazing, I heard from some of the gents that their toilets are just as lovely too. I really wouldn't hesitate in coming here again, and am rather shocked to read the odd negative review - although I do appreciate this is a very new business, but it seems to me they're doing a great job.   "I took a friend to Stanbrook Abbey for tea as a treat for his 60th birthday. It was a complete surprise for him and I managed to keep it a secrete until the last minute when we swung the car into the drive. Our tea for two was booked on a dismal afternoon on May 9th. We were greeted at the front doo..."r in a second by a friendly smart young man who then took us through to the elegant drawing room where some other people were sitting. We were then given a tour of this lovely building with its beautiful cloisters and church. The grounds looked lovely but the afternoon was windy and grey so were more than happy to stay indoors. After our tour, lead by a very informed and charming host we were shown into a candlelit room with starch white tablecloths and pleasant music playing. We were served an array of tasty sandwiches, trifles, scones, cakes and strawberries. This was served with our chosen delicious tea in white table wear.
