  "From the moment we arrived to a very personal, inviting welcome, we knew we were in for a great stay. Lovely room and plenty of character in the bar/restaurant/sweet shop area downstairs. So glad that we stayed for a long lunch and cannot recommend the food enough. The rack of ribs is without doubt ..."the finest I have tasted since visiting the Chicago Rib Shack in it's heyday nearly 30 years ago! The staff were all most helpful and gave advice regarding local places of interest to visit. The Sunday Roast was also excellent and to top it off some delicious desserts with great background music to boot. In summary, we will certainly be returning to this wonderful find, particularly for the outstanding, melt-in-the-mouth ribs. " More >

  "It is a homey hotel where you are going to find all the typical aspects of British life for no- British people, that is, a not very good breakfast (just toast, scrumbled eggs and tea or coffee), noisy rooms if you are a quiet person and a perfect location for Underground and Pubs. The biggest inconv..."enient of this small hotel is that you are left alone at night (there is no night porter to help you in case of an emergency) and that can be VERY NOISY and UNPLEASANT if you want to sleep.
