  "For our first visit to Lympstone, we chose The Shippon and were so glad we did. On our arrival, Karen greeted us and made us feel at home straight away and showed us to our very comfortable room. At present the courtyard outside is a bit of a builders yard, but this will soon clear when the adjacent..." house conversion is finished. The accommodation in this converted barn is new and very well furnished. We were blessed with a large double room with en-suite bathroom, a real luxury. Breakfast was multiple choice and there was as much as you wanted - thanks Alan for the excellent bacon and egg sandwich, cooked to perfection! All told a very enjoyable experience and we look forward to returning when we are next in the area. " More >

  "We booked Blackdown Barn for a hen weekend after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures - which didn't do the property justice. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home, there is so much room and the house is very well equipped with comfy furniture, wonderful beds and soft fluffy towels...." The furniture and furnishings are amazing and the dining table is great to sit and chat round. We were so lucky with the weather, using both the pool and barbeque which was great for relaxing round with a glass of Pimms before an evening of fun! The owners couldn't have been more helpful - and the complimentary groceries were to die for! We are already planning a return visit for a girlie weekend next year! " More >
