It is a bargain compared to other similar resorts within a one day's drive of Vancouver or Seattle. Our suite was spotless and everything worked and looked grea..."t. The decor of the lobby and the layout of the hotel really take advantage of the setting. One of my usual complaints about hotels in tourist towns is poorly trained summer staff, but at Black Rock, the staff is polite and well-trained. I had a great spa experience (hot rock facial) and every meal we had was delicious. Try their sushi. It's more expensive than what you get in the city, but the rolls are larger and quite innovative. The wine list and menu in Fetch and in the lounge are great. There are lots of trails with access from the hotel and then, of course, Pacific Rim Park is just a short drive away. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for a getaway. " More >
