We were welcomed by one of the caretakers, who walked us through a beautifully maintained and labeled garden of medicinal plants and showed us a cute wooden bungalow with two twin beds and clean outdoor bathrooms/ showers, and we were sold. The owner, Tino, returned shortly after that and we ended up checking in to a slightly larger bungalow with a double bed (and a bunk bed, which we didn't use) for a few more dollars. The room, showers, and bathrooms were basic but very clean. We had some Belikins and walked the grounds, which are lush and full of birds, then the chef on duty cooked us some delicious vegetable stir fry and a Belizean chicken dish.... " More >

  "Amazing Place for the budget traveler!"
  "After hearing about this place on various websites and forums i decided to book my stay here. Let me tell you; for an adventurer and budget traveler like me, this is the place you want to be. This place is nestled conveniently next to the road, but also in the jungle. Upon arrival we were given..." a short tour, then escorted to our cabins. They were clean, spacious, and tightly constructed, and all of the windows had screens. Our cabin had a bunk bed and a double bed. The fan was powerful enough to cool us down in 100F/37C degree weather. The water is not heated (only by the sun), so showers may be a little cold to some, but they felt refreshing to me after being beaten by the blistering hot sun. Our cabin had a private shower and bathroom, but I opted to shower in the communal ones as they were outside under the stars. There are many trails around the lodge, and I walked everyone of them.
