  "We just came back from a week at Hola Grand Faro with our 2 1/2 year old and had a wonderful time. Every employee we came in contact with was friendly and helpful and we even felt that they got to know us and our daughter personally. The grounds were beautifully kept and our room was always cleaned ..."spotlessly. We swam in all 3 pools but liked the infinity pool the best because of the view of the ocean. There were some loose tiles and was in need of some repair but it was very clean and we saw a maintenance person checking the water more than once during our stay. As others have said, the food isn't great. It's not horrible and it's definitely fresh, especially the fruit and vegetables, but it got very boring. The best food was the night of the Mexican Fiesta (which was very fun!) and I think the resort should consider focusing on the food they do the best; there's no need for an 'Oriental' night at a resort in Cabo, in my opinion. Aside from being hit up by a time share salesman right as we walked through the hotel door after a long day of travel, I have nothing but favorable comments to say about this hotel. The staff works hard to ensure you..." enjoy your vacation. The food was commensurate to the "all inclusive" experience. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning and interacting with Lucy at the omelette station. The Marco Polo and Ponchos restaurants were also good...Isidro did a great job as our waiter. Be sure to make your restaurant reservations at 9 am on the day of because tables fill up fast. Lastly, we had no issue with too many people at the pool or beach, which made for a relaxing time to lay in the sun. As a side note, bring a good supply of $1 bills to tip the staff for drinks, etc. We liked San Jose del Cabo much better than Cabo San Lucas because it was a much cleaner, quieter town.   "stayed for 3 days with wife and my 2 year old. ordered the private transportation (they sent a hummer) from the airport. highly recommend it as you bypass all confusion at the airport. quick check in process. the rooms are large and clean with a full view of the ocean. complementary tequila in ..."the room. the food is expensive but that's to be expected if you stay in a resort like this. we didn't rent a car but it is a good option if you can. walk to the nearest restaurant is about 25 min but doable if you don't have kids. with our 2 year old, we hired a taxi back to the resort. the pool is very nice with shallow end for kids to play in. spa was expensive but well worth it. overall a very nice resort. i would say on par with capella ixtapa (stayed last year) although i seems like capella pedregal may be a bit nicer.
