I was slightly concerned because of the few negative reviews, but usually only the very expensive, fancy resorts have perfect ratings (even some of those don't!), so I took a chance. I'm SO glad I did! Pros - Unlike a couple of the previous negative reviews, our villa was perfectly clean! It's definitely older and basic, but it was very clean, and I'm a clean freak! Every day we could tell when the maids had visited because when we opened the door, all we could smell was fresh laundry, like dryer sheets.   "We stayed at Blue Waters in May 2013. Amazing experience! All rooms/apartments have a balcony or a patio that faces the ocean. You are literally steps from the water. Although at the far west end of the island, we found the location to be fabulous as most restaurants we wanted to go were nearby. ..."Keep in mind that wherever you are staying on the island, you do need a rental car. We visited 5 beaches across the island and Shoal Bay West was our favorite beside Shoal Bay East. Shoal Bay West is home to only a handful of hotels and May is a very quiet period as we had the whole beach to ourselves. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen which is very convenient. We had breakfast every morning on the balcony. There is also an outdoor barbecue for guests. I must agree with one of the other reviewer that decoration could be added in the apartments.
