I have stayed here approx 2 years ago as part of a wedding party and was given discounted room rates. The breakfast was substantial and tasty and rooms comfortable. I have also experienced a spa day with my partner and can recommend the massage. It is situated in a beautiful village, Thornton Hough, lovely for a walk around and there are many other lovely places to visit nearby, Parkgate, Heswall, Hadlow Rd Station at Willaston. " More >

  "Nice Weekend undecided about value for money"
  "We booked a 2 night spa weekend at the last minute. To be fair they did their very best to accommodate us as the hotel was fully booked and they had to do some juggling around to fit us in. the dining on first evening was good from their a la carte, however I think the menu is limited and very fancy..." and I believe a few simpler dishes would help. Prices at the bar are very very high. Breakfast selection was excellent. Hotel was fully booked with a tribute night and hen party etc and at 2:30am we had some very noisy neighbors as they took there girls party back to the room. We had to complain and they did move on. But not impressed as it was meant to be spa weekend may be they could consider grouping different types of guests in different parts on the hotel. Spa area and treatments good but I think some areas around the pool and outside tubs etc could do with freshening up to be grouped with the luxury spa market, although there is some building renovation in progress.
