In case you cant speak French there is always an English speaking person on duty. The Spar shop has everything you could need, and there is a lovely bakers too. We only ate out once, choosing to cook instead, so cannot really review restaurants. We stopped at the Carrefour at Cham Nord and stocked up on food en-route along with snow chains which were not needed so got a refund on way back home :) The resort is truly ski in ski out and effortless.   "The hotel is very 70s but very clean. Our 'double' room consisted of 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvet covers. Limited room facilities, no tea/coffee or kettle, travel kettle came in handy. Ensuite bathroom had no shower, just a sink, bath with mixer taps and shower head - if only th..."ey had added a shower curtain and a wall mount for the shower head it would have been fine. The toilet was in a separate small cubicle with no sink -awkward! Breakfast was ok, buffet style with limited hot food - eggs, sausage & bacon and usual continental breads, cold meats, pastries, yoghurt & fruit. To be honest food wasn't great, we sampled a buffet dinner on our first night, it was terrible and expensive at 30 Euro pp. I wouldn't book half board as there are plenty of great restaurants, snack bars and supermarkets within a few minutes walk.
