There are 2 bars in the village of El Margen, and both are within walking distance of Casa Grande. El Margen is situated on the road between Huescar and Cullar, and is good jumping off point for the Sierras around Castril. Cullar is a small town with considerable charm and plenty of bars and restaurants. It is perfectly situated at the base of the sierra Nevada mountain range, so the views are breathtaking, the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. This would be ideal for anyone who wants to experience real Spain, far enough away from the madding crowd, but only a short drive (ten mins max) to the nearest village, which has a few shops and bars. You can have a short stroll to the local bar, although not really necessary as the hotel has a lovely poolside bar, but the tapas make it worth the effort.
