The room was just like ryokan style and it's bigger than the standard twin room. It was clean and had a great view of Ago-wan. What I like ..."about the place was that it's really nice to stroll in their gardens and around the old ryokan section, to see how the hotel was like a few decades ago. I must really commend the staff for their discreet but warm service, particularly at La Mer. Although I travelled solo, they made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The food was excellent. Although my package did not include Ise lobster or the famous abalone steak, I can just add this on ala carte. The selection of wines was also good. We could use the complimentary shuttle service from Kashikojima station (Kintetsu line) to this hotel after about 30minutes by train from Isuzugawa station which is the nearest Kintetsu line station from the "Naiku" of "Ise-jingu".
