A very traditional, attractive farmhouse B&B in a homely style with a very warm welcome from Mary, the friendly hostess, who takes a genuine interest in her visitors' travels especially if they're on a motorbike! The bedrooms are huge and very comfortable and the property is plenty far enough off the N17 to secure a great night's sleep. It was... More

Stayed 3 nights. A home away from home. Our hostess, Mary, was warm, welcoming & most hospitable. Her breakfasts were delicious. Our room was large & homey, with a lovely view of the garden. Plenty of room for parking. We enjoyed some long chats over breakfast. She showed much interest in how our trip had been so far, & what... More

This is one of the better bed and breakfasts we stayed in while in Ireland. First, the house is absolutely beautiful from the outside. The inside is rather old fashioned, but it is still very nice. The hostess was very kind and prompt with breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good as well. It is slightly more expensive than most... More

Mary was wonderful and very happy to share her knowledge of the area with us. We told her our family name and pointed us in the right direction. when I told her how much i loved the brown bread she snuck out and brought me two loafs from the local store to take home. we actually stayed in september 2009... Hidden away in the 'less touristy' part of Co. Galway St. Anne's makes for a very comfortable "home away from home" while still located within easy striking distance of everything Co. Galway has to offer. Mary serves the best Full Irish breakfast I have had in Ireland and was willing to go above and beyond the typical call of duty... More

We spent two wonderful weeks in Ireland - Dublin, Wicklow, Tralee and more and our 4 day stay at St. Anne's was definitely one of the highlights. Mary Birmingham epitomises the spirit of genuine Irish hospitality. She made us feel welcome and comfortable, was flexible and reliable. I enjoyed our morning conversations even more than her delicious breakfasts. The house... More

We stayed at St. Anne's for four nights and would have stayed one more had Mary Birmingham had room. Our room was spacious. We had a triple with bathroom en suite. Comfortable beds. Quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts were full Irish (if you liked) and so generous we had to ask for less after the first morning. Fresh fruit on... More

St Anne's was like a second home during our visit in western Ireland. Mary B. is thoughtful, interesting and cares about her guests. Her breakfasts are outstanding and suited to your individual needs. The home is in excellent condition and everything works well; the ensuite shower was a highlight because of its reliability and convenience. We plan to visit again... More
