Hotel is quite small and has a fairly small but adequate swimming pool. It is located right on the beach front. you access the hotel down a side street past a sports bar and the one love bar. The one love bar had a party night when we were there on friday and the music was LOUD until 3am so dont go for the block nearest the side street. Staff were amazing; food lovely and bar service good. Probably needed more sunbeds as it was quiet when we were there and we struggled to find one. There is a small outside area where there is entertainment. The area was not covered and the staff kept taking the table and chairs away so seating was very limited. It was unusable on the days it rained. We had a room overlooking the pool which was accessed via a lift and was lovely. You could walk up to Holetown which was nice or along the lovely sandy beach. Reception were good. Overall. Recommended.

I’m on a sunbed writing a short review for now. . Everything is just as lovely as we remember from our last visit in Jan 2020. The menu is a little disappointing at times , we don’t want Mongolian beef or Moroccan chicken or vindaloo for goodness sake we’re in Barbados!! Where are the Caribbean spices and beautiful fresh crayfish , jerk meat etc. if cost is an issue you could add a supplement for the pricier items. That said everyone is so helpful and friendly and accommodating to our needs. The customer relations cannot be faulted. These are just a few of our standout staff members. Shem- what an absolutely lovely young man.a real asset to the hotel. For one so young, he can talk to and respect people of all ages . He radiates sunshine and kindness which is a rare thing in one so young.. Damien obviously, for his tireless work and energy when delivering our drinks with a smile and a few fancy moves! Raynard.also a lovely polite young man . Marie our waitress, you are such a character always has a smile and a cheeky sense of humour. Ronald and Isabelle, both very helpful and professional. Most of the staff are fab but not all. The staff and the friendliness have always been this small hotels biggest asset as well as the amazing location of course. Shem you are a star your family should be very proud of you. ( From the boring woman who only drinks water🤣🤣) I’ll write a full review on my return to Uk.

Went back again for 2024, and this time with the mini me's. We love the place we really do, for the want of a better word the hotel is HONEST if you want prim and polished then Mango bay isn't for you. The staff from the GM to Damien make this hotel what it is. Sunday nights are loud due to the one love bar and we complained last year this year we embraced it and went along it was great. Of course we wouldn't stay in the block directly facing the venue and this year we planned ahead and our agent ensured that we stayed elsewhere on site. The beach / The Turtles and Rays literally 20 mtrs off of the beach certainly entertained the kids. We will be back either this year or Feb again next. A little TLC in places wouldn't go amiss as mentioned above if you want 5* luxury then this isn't for you, if you want honest people that are attentive then this is the place. Also the Beach is fantastic one of the best on the West Coast

Like a lot of the hotels on the west coast of Barbados, Mango Bay could do with a little investment and modernisation, I’m sure this is due to the effects of Covid when many hotels closed and are now only getting back to full strength. The thing that makes a destination a success is its staff and I must say that the staff at Mango Bay are all very hard working and helpful, although I think the bar staff could try to engage and smile on the odd occasion. The big plus is the hotel’s position in Holetown (it was the Holetown Festival) it is within walking distance of some great restaurants and also easy access to the beach and sea which is on your door step and a great plus, if you enjoy snorkelling and swimming… or just topping up on your vitamin D.

The Mango Bay Hotel Barbados was wonderful, beachside location, excellent food and very friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel. I would have given it 5 stars however the hotel advised in their welcome pack that booking of loungers was not allowed!! We thought that was great however in practice nothing was done to prevent this annoying habit. After 1 week of struggling to get loungers on the beach we spent our second week booking loungers with our towels!! If the hotel is not going to enforce this then no point including this in the welcome pack. Very disappointing.

We have just got back home from staying at mango bay for 10 nights and had such amazing time that since we have been back home I have recommended this hotel to a ex work colleague of mine and to a friend who is looking at going to this hotel in November to celebrate her 50th there we had a ocean view room which was lovely we had a few issues with our room which a big thank you to the lovely Isabella for sorting those issues out for us This was our 4th time in Barbados but the first time staying at mango bay hotel and we had such a lovely time the entertainment was brilliant something on every night and during the day there would be things to do like music quizzes , jenga ,drawing and aqua Pilates with Isabella Which I would totally recommend the Aqua Pilates as I tried it for the first time ever while we stayed there thank you to Isabella for encouraging me to try it as I really enjoyed it The staff are friendly and helpful and a big thank you to Damien and the rest of the bar staff who done such an amazing job The beach was lovely but the sea starts off shallow and then suddenly drops there is a rope in the sea to help you get out the sea at first we thought we would have a problem with sun beds on the beach as on our first day people were saving sun beds and one group had about 8 sun beds but in the end we had no problem with sun beds as they will put some more out for you if you cannot find any The swimming pool is lovely if you want to get a bit of shade The restaurant is excellent and very good food although you have to book for lunch and dinner but I think that is a good idea the breakfast was a buffet , lunch and dinner time you sometimes was a buffet But most of the time it was a menu you could choose starter , main and dessert which we preferred as the portions was just the right size and you don’t end up wasting food because you might of taken too much from the buffet There is always the pool menu if you don’t fancy going to the restaurant for lunch which has like salads , sandwiches and burgers , hot dog on the menu Also the complementary catamaran trip was always being cancelled while we were there ( due to the currant of the sea apparently) and the only day we saw it was on our last day so we never got to go but that was ok with us as a member of our family is disabled and was worried about going on it Also there is a bar near the hotel called one love bar that has karaoke on Sundays and Wednesdays nights so it can get pretty noisy so for this reason make sure you book a ocean front room Mango bay is just a short walk from the Limegrove centre which is a shopping centre/ mall which is very nice to walk round and just down the road you have a few boutiques a supermarket but one of my favourite places to do shopping especially in holetown is a place called The chattel village it has some lovely shops there especially if you want to bring souvenirs back and remember to take a passport with you for duty free shopping I also recommend going to Rihanna’s drive where you see where the singer grew up it is a must if you are a fan ( we have visited it on a previous trip to Barbados You can also have a walk along the beach there is a bit of a boardwalk and it is a bit rocky but it is nice to walk along I think we will definitely be coming back to mango bay So I have 2 tips for you if you are going to book this hotel 1) make sure you book a ocean front room because we heard from other guests that they had to put towels and suitcase by the door to drown out the noise from the bar that does karaoke nights next door to the hotel 2) if you have a disabled person in your family / party and there is no bath rail or handles in the bathroom go to reception and ask if they can get maintenance to get some and put them up for you and if reception tell you they cannot do it then go and speak to Isabella who sorted out straight away for us

This was our 3rd time to Barbados, 1st time to Mango Bay. We arrived looking forward to a relaxing holiday after a hard few months at work. At the end of the holiday we left feeling tired, not refreshed as we had hoped & were looking forward to a good night's sleep at home. We had been to Holetown before & knew it was a lively town. We'd read that there were clubs & bars around the hotel & knew to expect some noise but nothing had prepared us for the One Love bar just across the way from our room 410, how loud it was & how long the kareoke went on for (until about 3am) on our 1st night which was a Sunday. The next day we did complain to the Hotel but they couldn't help as they had no other rooms available in a quieter part, they said they couldnt do anything about the noise. We walked around like zombies for a few days until on the Friday night the Red Door Lounge started up & another sleepless night. If the hotel information had said what time the noise would go on to ie minimum of 1 am, we could have made an informed decision & would not have chosen this hotel. It was such a shame because there were some positive aspects- the beach was ok, I was glad of the rope to help get up the shelved beach out of the sea. the pool therapy was good. sip & art was good staff were all helpful it was nice to have al la carte at some meals & have food served to us the catamaran trip was nice, it would have been better with some seats the water sports chaps were good Tricia, the TUI rep, was very helpful & sorted out some compensation for us for our disappointment.

We had a fantastic holiday at Mango Bay. The hotel was really pretty. Don’t usually do all inclusive but this was a very positive experience. The location was amazing - Holetown is lovely with shops and bars. Kids felt safe. Loads of wildlife:- turtles and stingrays easily accessible via snorkelling around the bay. The staff were generally fantastic, and we’d have to shout out Donnelle, who looked after us at every dinner, and Damien who spend most of the day getting us drunk! The food was very impressive. We have fussy kids who ate well, good variety, good quality. We were in poolside which were standard but very clean, pretty and functional. Try One Love bar on a Sunday night - great fun. All the bars around Holetown are good. Try Boatyard for a good value day at Carlisle Bay. Their included turtle tour was really busy but a day there with kids is good fun and great value. Try Good Times 2 Catamaran tour: - great fun, friendly crew, good food, plenty of rum punch. Try swimming straight out from Holetown beach and snorkelling in the area about 200m out to easily see turtles feeding on the sea bed. Snorkelling the reefs around the hotel beach felt safe and was very pretty. Try a short walk north from Mango Bay to Folkestone Marine Reserve and some lovely little beach bars and shacks. We loved it here.
