Staying at another nearby resort we were seeking a change of pace for lunch and were recommended to this resort. It is a beautiful setting with a picturesque view of the temple, a desire to please and quite decent food.

If your looking for a relaxing getaway in a old school colonial Javanese setting then this is the place to go. Everything about this place is relaxing and elegant. Not the best place for kids, but with so much to do in the surrounding areas it would be easy to bring them along.

My husband and I stayed at the Plataran Borobudur for 3 nights. We loved the Javanese villa with pool, it was very big, beautifully furnished, private, and it felt like our own house in Java.
