The commune is a kind of hotel resort complex in a valley very close to various visitor places at the great wall. Badaling is reachable in 10 mns by car. We stayed at the commune with our two very small children. The kids playroom was wonderful and the babysitters were great with the kids. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurants are kid friendly as well. We will definitely return. Of course the views of The Wall are breathtaking as well!

Even its an award winning hotel, its a massive disappointment. Service is terrible and the hotel is very poorly maintained. Only great thing is the private entrance to the Great Wall that has not being remodeled by the Government.
