“Clean but very loud”

The room and kitchen were impressively clean, the location was easy to all the shops, bank and grocery. The walls are paper thin which made it difficult to sleep. The owner/manager (not sure) was not particularly welcoming and quite rude with my questions. But in general it turned out to be an ok place to stay.

“Nice place for a short stay”

Stayed 2 nights at a twin. The room is awesome, kitchen is very clean and shower room is huge. Supermarket is close by. The hostel offers free wifi to everyone and there is a hot pool available. Overall a great place to stay and relax.

“Nice stay walking distance to Motueka”

We upgraded to an ensuite room in the backpackers lodge and had a nice stay for five days. The free Internet was great, and the owner never minded giving us more vouchers (it comes in 400 MB chunks). “Very good hostel near Abel Tasman”

The hostel is at the main road in Motueka which is a good base for a trip to Abel Tasman. Some shops and big supermarkets are close to the hostel. I enjoyed my stay here. Excellent hostel, best hostel I have stayed in, in over a 18 months of travelling. Yha and BBH registered. The hostel is a house built in the grounds of the owners accommodation.
