An attentive host, excellent food, good atmosphere, friendly place... bit expensive on food, and felt that the food was being delayed sometimes to boost beer sales. Read the reviews here only after we had visited but they wouldn't have deterred us, we thoroughly applaud Cliff and his staff for offering a quirky and pleasant stay. As previous reviewers have stated, the service from Cliff was faultless. Lovely bar meal then one or three beers with the locals, was a bit shaky the next morning but a fantastic breakfast set me back on track. The room was spot on too. Would highly recommend the Kilchoan to anyone.
