Great place to stay, can't believe the change since our visit last year. We will definitely be back for our annual trip to the lovely Ardnamurchan! Would recommend this to friends and family back home in Cardiff.

My colleague and i stayed here for one night, they were not even open and had only recently taken over the place from the previous tennants. But we were in dire need of accommodation for the night and it was either, stay at the Sonachan, or drive to Fort William at 10pm, So they were very accommodating and made a...

This is the friendliest place we visited on our recent Scotland tour with lots of helpful people. Calling in for coffee during the afternoon, we saw a few guitars hanging around and asked who played. The landlord, Cliff, is an enthusiastic musician and when he learned that I played, we were invited to a session that evening. It was by...

We stayed here for three nights whilst in the area for a wedding.
We had the four poster room which had a nice view over Mull, and another window on the side up towards the hills. There was no shower which was disappointing which made washing my hair difficult, I would expect at least a shower attachment to aid rinsing...

The place needed a through clean and tidy. Cobwebs on lampshades in our room and energy bulbs in all the lamps made room uninviting. Our friends were in Room 3 this was classed as a twin room but two single beds more suited to children than adults and shower room was dirty and really tight so couldn't wash properly. Most...

We stayed here for one night on our cycling trip around the Western Highlands. Cliff and the rest of his team were very welcoming. Cliff found somewhere dry to store our bikes and allowed us to drop our bags off before cycling out to the lighthouse and back. There was a problem with the boiler when we stayed and we...

An attentive host, excellent food, good atmosphere, friendly place... bit expensive on food, and felt that the food was being delayed sometimes to boost beer sales. Rooms very comfortable, TV and internet, en-suite, very clean...had to bleed radiators myself, showers inoperative(bath OK), no early breakfast available. Would go again.
We went into Kilchoan house hotel on our holiday for some drinks most days. It is a small traditional little pub and was crowded once there was 10 people in there. We liked the atmosphere and everyone was friendly to us and spoke to us. We saw the people in there liked the area so much they had all moved...

Read the reviews here only after we had visited but they wouldn't have deterred us, we thoroughly applaud Cliff and his staff for offering a quirky and pleasant stay. I would suggest that they look at the general untidyness that caught the eye on entrance and the first floor but didn't get in our way. Room was clean and tidy...

As previous reviewers have stated, the service from Cliff was faultless. Lovely bar meal then one or three beers with the locals, was a bit shaky the next morning but a fantastic breakfast set me back on track. The room was spot on too. Would highly recommend the Kilchoan to anyone.
