We attended a family wedding held in El Palomar and we had a brilliant time. The hotel is located in the national park and has amazing views, its about a five minute drive from the beach at Los Canos de Meca. There are numerous walks through the national park which are located close to the Hotel. The rooms in the... More

Me and my girlfriend reached the hotel rather late in the evening and had no choice but to eat in the hotel restaurant which was empty and seemed rather causual and not too cheap - count 25-40 euros pp for the meal. To our surprise, we have had one of the best dinners on our two week culinary tour of... More

I'll take the hotel from a few different perspectives: 1) Facilities: The rooms are spacious (ours was split-level with an extra bed), clean, and sort of semi-rustic. No wifi, but there's a TV if you're interested in that kind of thing. 2) Bar: Breakfast is typically Spanish -- late and uncomplicated. Coffee and juice are good, but since we wanted... More

Like another couple staying in the hotel, we had rucksacks stolen from our hire car in the Barbate area. It would appear that the area is quite notorious for this. The owner was exceptional in the help he gave in dealing with the hire company and the local repairer but Trip Advisor is nothing if reviews are not realistic. So... More

We thought as it had been mentioned in a birding report it would have been a good place to stay, however it turned out to be days of repetitive breakfasts after only getting a few hours sleep. We had a room overlooking the courtyard and the bar/cafe was in one corner. We could hear all the chatter at night plus... More

If you want peace and quiet, simple comfort, endless country views, with kind yet unobtrusive hosts this is the place for you. Don't expect luxury, rooms are spacious and comfortable, but no over the top fripperies (fridge, TV, internet are all there), breakfast is straightforward juice, tostado and coffee. The atmosphere is tranquil, there's a very good restaurant, obviously popular... More

We found El Palomar with a quick TripAdvisor search and just needed a night between Cadiz and Tarifa, so did not really know what to expect. Their website gave good directions and a late email I sent was answered promptly the next day. We found the hotel to be clean and peaceful; the dovecote interesting and the surroundings stunningly beautiful.... More

We visit the Palomar de la Breña regularly as we live just a couple of hours drive away. My partner loves to visit the surfing beaches nearby at El Palmar but he picked the wrong girlfriend for slumming it on the beach so our compromise is to stay here. Also they let us bring our beloved labrador! It's not luxurious... More

Take a drive the extra couple of kilometres into the park to stay at this wonderful home from home. Accommodation to suit anyone and roomy, clean and comfortable; these guys go the extra mile, including serving me early in the restaurant. Although its popular with locals(always a good sign) who like to eat later, after long days birdwatching in the... More
