Our canadian travel agent booked us for 4 nights of our 15 day vacation here. He chose this place because of its proximity to Florence. While the architecture of the villa was spectacular, and the view from the room to die for, we found the place poorly managed. Lights were out, beds were terrible, staff at the front desk were... The hotel itself and the building is just amazing, the room was lovely and comfortable.. And very well cleaned (but more shower gel would be good) The staff efficient but ignorant. Our room was at the end of the corridor (114) and the WiFi just did not work there... We mentioned it to them but they just ignored it.. Poor... More

Central location to explore Tuscany, quiet, clean and decent sized rooms. Front desk staff functional but not friendly. I'd give breaskfast a miss ( stale bread, luke warm coffee), dull atmosphere. The place has a faded glory feeling. But the village is nice with a couple of nice restaurants. Easy train servive to Florence ( if you like crowded expensive... More

Value for vale is pretty good, however the room we got was old, dark and a bit filthy. The setting of the gardens and the houses was very nice. The food in the restaurant is below expectation (the starter was great, but the mains were not good at all). There is a small spa. The entrance on the weekend is... More

The pool run by the hotel is outside and up a very steep hill if you are not a good mountaineer do not attempt this. The hotel charge 5 euros to enter. The area is very attractive but unfortunately the pool is overun by screaming kids and teenagers from the town at a reduced entry fee who have little or no respect... Great and quiet place to stay. Nice small village but a great location for outings to Florence, Sienna and the Tuscon countryside. More

I stayed at the Villa Casagrande this past March, and I was pleasantly surprised at what a gem this amazing villa is! I would highly recommend it. I picked this villa for it's wonderful location, yet staying in a villa steeped in history. The villa's grounds are beautiful too. Most other villas I have stayed at in the past were... More
