This is the 3rd time we've enjoyed the delights of Joyces Marian Villas and will return again, we hope. The owner, Ann, is most hospitable and welcoming. The room we stay in is always lovely and clean as you'd expect. But what makes it so special is that it has the most amazing view of the mountains and sea that... More

A magnificient house with every attention paid to detail by Ann. You will receive such wonderful hospitality both on arrival and during your stay. I stayed at Joyces Marian Villa with a friend last week (04-06 August). We arrived on Achill at around 2pm. We were asked to wait prior to checking in at the B&B, and one of the staff recommended that we eat at local cafe, The Beehive. The fact that we paid 20euro for a panini and a cup of tea... More

We have visited Achill on many occassions and always look forward to staying at Joyces. You always receive a very warm welcome from Anne. The accomodation and location is superb. The rooms are very comfortable and there is a lovely cosy lounge with an open turf fire. The breakfasts are to die for!! Everything is freshly cooked to order and... More

Cruizing this part of Achill Island for an accomodation as a starting point for hikes on the Island, we settled for Joyces as the views from the B and B looked promising. And we were not disappointed. We decided for maybe the best room available, a large one with windows to three sides and some splendid views. One top of... More

the room was nice and clean and it was the best breakfast I`ve eat in Irland - everything homemade! Expensive but a good place to stay! The view is also splendid - direct ocean view - nice! .............................................................................................................................................................. We liked the area, the fireplace, tea and coffee in the sitting room, excellent breakfasts. Room was nicely decorated. Short easy walking distance to ocean and beach and a good jumping off point for drives to gorgeous beaches. I enjoyed the village like feeling..including sheep wandering everywhere in the town. Don't believe the the low reviews. This is a gem. I have read the poor reviews and they are only complaining about the price (yes, 45e apiece is above average, but you get what you pay for) or the supposed rudeness of one of the nicest hostesses we met during our two week stay. You won't get free internet (too... More

We stayed at Joyces B and B on July 1st and 2nd. Two of our party of four were taking part in the best half marathon ever on Achill Island. Anne was very helpful and interersted in our stay, she accomodated us with an excellent bowl of pre running porridge! Bread and jams were homemade and the fruits of the... More
